Costa Navarino 2014
In keeping with the 2014 conference theme of “Technology and Ethics” the Greek Conference has chosen to hold the Ninth Greek Legal and Medical Conference at the Costa Navarino Resort on the untouched south-west coast of the Peloponnese in Greece.
Costa Navarino’s environmentally responsible philosophy and thoughtful application of architecture and landscaping are a clear demonstration of ethical state-of-the-art technology that fully respects the local environment and nature’s resources. The resort’s sustainable practices and technologies (such as constructing Europe’s largest horizontal heat exchanger) preserve the natural beauty of the seaside landscape and natural habitat of Messinia.
Addressing the Challenges of our Century
This forward-thinking resort’s application of sustainable practices in growing and harvesting local produce used in its restaurants as well as its sustainable use of water and energy demonstrates a working, practical example of innovative and ethical application of technology in addressing the challenges facing the 21st century.
The Greek Conference organisers were also impressed by Costa Navarino’s commitment to preserving Hellenic culture and ideals through its immense art collection documenting the Greek War of Independence.
As usual our professional program will be stimulating and comprehensive and will include presentations from leading lawyers, doctors, scientists and academics from a number of countries.
The professional program is being overseen by Professor Loane Skene in conjunction with our Greek Organising Committee and input from our Patrons, Judge Vardavakis, previously a member of the Supreme Court of Greece and Professor Peter Doherty AC, the 1996 co-winner of the Nobel Prize in medicine.
Registrations are now open for Costa Navarino 2014. We invite all who are interested in attending to Register NOW.
We hope the 2014 Greek Conference will offer an opportunity to broaden horizons, make new friends, renew old friendships and experience the uniqueness of our organisation.
